Female Reproductive System
Now let us talk about the changes going on that you can not see - the changes happening inside your body.
The female body, reproductive organs, and female genitalia are very complex because almost everything is wrapped inside but let us quickly touch on important parts.
The storehouse for eggs that are not mature. When the eggs mature, they are released once every month.
Ovaries (internal view):
They are the roads that the eggs (ova) travel through from the ovaries to the womb (uterus).
Fallopian Tubes (internal view):
Also called the womb. This organ is where babies grow until they are ready to be born. Its position is between the cervix and the fallopian tubes. It is in the lower part of the pelvis, on top of the vagina.
Uterus (internal view):
The tube at the end of the vagina that connects the vagina to the uterus. The cervix is shaped like a donut.
An opening that measures up to 6 inches and is lined with cells that produce moisture. The vagina is an extremely stretchy organ. That ability to stretch makes it easy for the vagina to hold a tampon or penis, allow a baby to pass through during delivery. Ordinarily, these big things passing through the vagina can tear it but the ability of the vagina cells to produce lubricating secretions makes it easy for the vagina to accommodate these things without tearing.
Vagina (external view):
They are the outer part of your genitals which act as covering or protection for your vagina. The way they look is different from one lady to another. It is almost always covered in hair-pubic hair. Some women’s labia may be a little longer than others but that poses no problem. But if your labia is long enough to cause you major discomfort when you put on your underwear, then you should speak to your doctor or healthcare provider about it.
Outer labia (external view):
This is where the good feelings come from. The clitoris is a small soft piece of flesh in the vagina area. This part of the vagina has several nerve endings, in fact, as many as a penis has and it is associated with feelings of intense pleasure in women. The clitoris may be smaller than the penis but it shares many things in common with it. When it is stimulated during sexual excitement, the clitoris can fill up with blood and become erect like the penis. Even though the clitoris is much bigger, we only see a small part of it outside because the remaining part is hidden inside our body. When the clitoris is stimulated, it results in feelings of pleasure.
