Rape

WHAT IS RAPE?

Rape, a form of sexual assault, is defined as forced vaginal, anal, or oral penetration by a body part or object.

In Nigeria, more often than not, girls are more victims of rape than boys. However, recent trends have shown that boys can also be violated sexually.  If you have experienced sexual violence, know that you are not alone and there are resources available to assist you.

If you think you’ve been raped, talk to someone at a health centre near you.
